Overall Evaluation

During these 5 weeks,I have enjoyed making and doing these projects!

I have kept myself motive this term, even though last year I honestly didn't see myself paying much attention, this year I reckon I have attained my stability and motives,and thank Faye for helping me,and having faith in me!


I did all this work with my group we finally managed to manage and listen to each other,and to eventually co-operate!

Marrissa's Evaluation

My storyboard in this lesson we had to make a story board, if the story board was not up-to certain standards we wouldn't of been able to start filming our adverts, in our group we had to come up with still images so I could draw the to show the actual prospect of what our advert would show, and how it would of been detailed.

We had made 4 shots.


Shot 1- Was Sam by the stairs while he stood there was an opening wide shot of the stair case that had been took plus the camera action which was stable,

Shot 2- Was a close up of our can, the action of the image was so that we would have a fair image of our product which we had made which was a 'Possessed' energy drink!

Shot 3- Was a Mid-Shot of Sam with the product in his hands, fairly so he could then drink the product and get possessed by the drink, which was a mid close-up!

Shot 4- Close up of Sam's face then eventually drinking the possessed drink, then turning into a freak, basing it on our 'Freak and Unique' topic!

In this topic we also listen to the different basics of sound,and the description of which sound was familiar.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    




In Marissa's Lesson we needed to make a proposal and me with my group Sam,& Alan!

We made a clip describing our advert,we needed to make a video which was 12-30 seconds long,advertising our product which was out can, which was called possessed!

Quite frankly,in this topic I couldn't really understand some of the key factors,but shortly I managed to work on my editing skills ,to make my video more realistic by using more editing tools!

Sam was our actor,and I was the camera women filming Sam in action.

As a group we attempted on working together,which at the start we found it quite difficult at first because none gave no instructions,

Throughout this half term i have assured to keep motive,and try get as much as my work done!




Owains Evaluation

In this lesson, I had used the different tools which had been provided for me at the college!


These tools have been provided by Photoshop, I needed to get familiar with the tools and also with the usage of them, how they work and also which changes can be done using the tools such as;
I have also gathered what is the usage of the tools, including the section tool, which adds and affects and also manipulates the image!


CTRL-T it makes the image bigger plus holding down 'SHIFT' to retain original dimensions!

CTRL -= - Zooms out of image


 Despite the fact of me struggling last year, this year I have put my head down more, and attained to do my work, manage my work so everything is done by deadline. Including myself learning the structures has taught me also that I can remain focused in lessons, the tasks that were given to me were providing an advert for my 'Freak and Unique' advert, I had to subtotal everything that was given to me and make an advert using Photoshop, which never the less I found slightly tricky to use at the start!

 After a while I had currently coped to use to Tool-Photoshop, and happily I managed to create what I wanted to create, which was a part of my advert/image!


 Quite frankly I thought I wasn't going to achieve anything nor complete anything due to not paying much attention also last year but this year, I feel as if I'm motive to do so, I have learnt the basic structures of Photoshop it’s not as easy as it may come across, and what the tools can actually do, there are many proportions of tools that can be used for different things, the unique images you can make is quite shocking how smooth and clear they look!
Overall I have enjoyed this topic, I had supremely learned quite a lot, plus the staff are ace, and give you the help you need!

Marks Evaluation

In my first week I had come onto the course, not knowing nothing previously being on the course last year. And not being able to finish based on personal reasons!
Despite the fact of me not being able to focus last term.
 This term I have managed to create and learn more then I actually thought I could, by basically learning the basics of photography, which our topic was freak and unique we had to discover images and relate to them, in what editing procedures some images had.
What images inspired me where based on the freak or unique topic, which where dark images I tried to replicate these image I tried to replicate the image, but added adjustments towards the image to make it more of my own!

There were so many images that I couldn’t decide to pick from because I was so intrigued by their photography skills, I attempted to replicate some images! I tried to replicate this image, but added adjustments towards the image to make it more of my own!




















I had to research 10x freaky images, which then added to my final piece, I had to choose from 10 images that I would familiarize myself with to make my final images.

The characteristics of unusual photography in my opinion is if once you know the purpose, it’s a matter of looking at how effectively the artists technique, composition, style and subject contribute towards that purpose.  If they all work well towards ‘explaining’ the meaning to the viewer, the photo is a success so by contributing in lessons and asking questions will help.




During these 5 weeks I have motivated myself to try my best, and officially try and do the work I didn't manage on doing last year, still knowing part of these basics, but this half term I have managed to keep my goal attained and to make sure my work is done before my deadline, quite frankly I didn’t think I would be able to attain nor finish my work, last year I didn’t pay much attention either, considering it was harder last year, due to not having the blog , plus this much help I think that this has made it more easier, and I have thoroughly accepted the fact that I have this much work to do.






Despite the fact of much having to be done, I reckon I had somehow succeeded, comparing how I didn’t have a clue how to use a camera, I now know the usage of the camera and how to take images with the camera justifying its usage, and how to make the image clearer/brushed and how the image, can also be faulty by not doing the right things nor to make the camera work how it’s supposed too!






In marks lessons I have learnt how to also keep the equipment controlled what to do, and what not to,



I know not to touch the light barn, because it’s hot and it will burn you, also to learn the hot equipment out, considering it being hot!



I have learnt the different basics of the camera we had the diagrams that were used to help use understand the camera more! I enjoyed this topic because it showed me also the different dialogs with me only presuming it was an easy topic which it actually isn't, I have been helped loads in this lesson, and actually enjoyed it!

They compose photograph cropping, plus certain areas focused.

I can do a proportion of different imagery / composition framing, and the differences between white balance and the rule of third.



I made my own image by taking images, and the image that I liked best I had to edit it, and turn it into something different.



In this image it shows different properties, in which a camera can be used by.



It shows how many proportions a camera actually has.
we see this by not knowing the actual uses of the camera ,that's why we have these diagrams and labels that have been made, to explore more about camera use, so we can acknowledge the camera.

Getting to know the Camera



This image shows what we also had done in our lesson,before we even started taking out photographs during those couple  of weeks we had to learn more of the basics,so we understood the usage of the camera,we had to label and view what we had labeled and we had to memorize the structures of the camera.
